| Stonegate, the Westernmost
area of Davis, has as its central feature
Stonegate Lake and Country Club. The
manmade Lake is often explored and fished by
Davis kids commanding canoes and sailboats, and
the Country Club hosts a variety of activities
including tennis, volleyball, and community
events. A large public park near the
Western edge of Stonegate provides the
neighborhood with excellent recreation
opportunities, and the community pool and other
amenities at Arroyo Park, and the Patwin
Elementary and Emerson Junior High schools are
just a short bike ride away. |

Many homes in Stonegate make full use
of the Lake in their design and
orientation. Here, a lakeside home with
its own pier sits in the diffuse shade of the
area's magnificent trees. |

members of the Stonegate neighborhood. |

| The
architecture in Stonegate ranges from ranch
style homes built in the 1960s and 1970s, to
more artistically devised homes built much
more recently. Here is an interesting
example of Stonegate's custom architecture. |

Stonegate
is served by a quaint neighborhood shopping
center. A clock tower overlooks its
grocery store, video store, restaurants, and
many other service-oriented establishments. |
