| Old East Davis, located
within walking distance of the Core Area
commercial district and a short bike ride from
the UCD campus, features a variety of different
types of homes. Like most other older
parts of Davis, the trees in this area are
mature and quite beautiful. Home prices in
this area can be low, by Davis standards. Old
East Davis has a relatively large number of
rentals homes to go along with the duplexes and
small apartment projects in this area.
However, it is probably only a matter of time
before this extremely well located part of Davis
becomes attractive to home buyers looking for
"fixer upper" opportunities. |

shapes and sizes. Of particular interest
are the several historic homes, such as the Colonial
style home above. |

homes in Old East Davis are quite small and
situated on small lots. A few, like the
one above, have undergone recent renovation. |

simple. Most of these homes are rental
units. However, as competition in the
rental market increases in Davis, it is
probable that some of these homes will come
onto the market. |

East Davis (and East Davis Proper) is served
by a small neighborhood mall. This mall
hosts a video store and a great Greek food
restaurant, among other things. |
