| Central Davis proper encompasses
a relatively large area, and is laid-out in the traditional 20th Century
style. The streets are generally
wide and winding, off of which sit many small
cul-de-sacs. Parks are centrally located and serve as recreation and gathering
areas. Central Davis hosts three
elementary schools, as well as Davis High School, King High
School, and St.
James Catholic school. The homes in
Central Davis proper were generally built in the 1960's
and 1970s, and most sit on moderate-sized lots,
although some very large lots are smattered throughout
this area. |

ranch style home are quite common. |
 |
Contemporary homes with low pitched
roofs are also somewhat common in Central
Davis. Like other older parts of Davis,
many homes have recently undergone extensive renovation. |
